God created human beings to live in healthy community (Gen. 2:18). As we flourish in community, here in Grove, we reflect the nature of our Triune God who also exists in perfect relationship with each member of the Godhead. From all eternity, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have existed in a perfect harmony with each other.
When human beings rebelled against God, humanity became not only separated from God but alienated from each other. But the good news is that Jesus reconciles all things, including broken relationships. When he saves a people for himself, he saves them to be part of a community, where fellowship, love, and grace become central to their identity.
We believe that life, discipleship, service, and worship were designed to be carried out with others in dynamic community. At Three Rivers, community is central to who we are as a church. As we grow in community, we experience God’s presence, deepen our relationship with Him and with others, and are equipped to participate in kingdom work by cultivating our spiritual gifts.
We are a community of believers saved by grace. Therefore, this is a place where you can let your guard down, be open and vulnerable about your struggles, and receive pastoral care, love, and support from fellow Christians. Because our world is broken, and we to tend live isolated lives, community does not happen automatically. That is why we are intentional about developing Christ-centered, life-on-life relationships, with the context of life in the church. It is our prayer that all who worship with us will know the love of Christ that flows from a body of believers who love God and each other.
